My Pledge on International Women's Day

Today, half the population will observe International Women's Day as just another day while the remaining half will celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of their grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters and friends. With its radical history and the recent changes in political scenery, it's no wonder this year's celebration has taken center stage. I pledge to continue doing my part in closing the gender gap while remembering the men who support the women in their lives.
